Welcome to The School of Paris (Ages 8-12 - Early Release Wednesdays)

Some say it was the most exciting time art history. From 1900 to 1940 a group of international artists came together in The City of Lights and created a tidal wave of new and exciting art. Swirling ideas amongst this very tight circle of artists resulted in a diversity of styles that focused on portraiture, figure studies, landscapes, cityscapes, and still lives.
We’ll look into the lives and practices of members of this famous group—including Amedeo Modigliani, Chaïm Soutine, Marc Chagall, and Wasily Kandinsky—and celebrate their unique artistic achievement.
